Who rec'd The Note-Taker, and where? Because I've gotten two comments and I think four or five kudos in the past two-three days, when the story's been up for a month and half.

Just finished the last four episodes of Fringe. (Er, 3? Was last night's a double episode? I watch on Hulu, so I know less about this than I normally would.)

It's 1AM, so no analysis yet, but:

technically spoilers, but nothing substantive )

Hopefully more when I have a smidge of brainpower.

Author: [personal profile] amalnahurriyeh/[ profile] amalnahurriyeh
Fandom: Fringe
Pairing/characters: gen-ish, with implied amber!Lincoln/red!Olivia.
Rating: PG (adult themes)
Angst-Level: moderate (canon-level)
Warnings: None
Summary: He keeps track of things.

Author's Notes: written for [personal profile] wikiaddicted723 in [community profile] fringe_exchange 2012. My first time writing unadulterated Fringe fix; I think it works. Thanks to [ profile] leigh_nahurriyeh for beta'ing (still so amused I can link to her name).

Lincoln's junior year of college, he did a semester in Amsterdam. )

Guess who just stayed up 'til 3AM* watching all the backlog of Fringe on the TiVo? That would be me and Leigh.

I have the following things to say:

it's not really a spoiler if i just write a character's name in all caps a lot, is it? )

Does anybody else play "What X-Files episode(s) was(were) tonight's Fringe plotline stolen from?" Because I'm pretty sure last night's Fringe was:

spoilers )

One day I will have non-cracky thoughts about Fringe. Today? Not that day.

(Why, yes, flist, I'm signing up for something else. Because I am, apparently, a glutton for punishment. But this is a great small-gifts exchange, and anyway, I'm a joiner.)

Dear Purim Treat-a-thon Writer,

Hooray! I have never done this exchange before, but, um, I like gifts? And writing things for people? And stories about resistance and radical transformation and women being awesome, and drunken revelry while wearing costumes, which is pretty much what Purim is about, to my knowledge? So I think I have found the right fic/art exchange.

OK, first some general notes about what I like in fic, which I kidnapped (and edited) from my Yuletide letter. I don't really have any graphic preferences, except that Pretty Things Are Pretty. Er, I like funny icons.

General Things. )

Fandom Notes (mostly favorite-character lists): The X-Files, Fringe, Doctor Who, The West Wing, BSG, ArchAndroid )

In conclusion, I hope I have not been too much of a bossy asshole! And I am really looking forward to whatever you want to make me! You can ask me questions if you want! Thank you in advance!

Timeline/Spoilers: Fringe: Sometime during season 1; no spoilers for anything on the mytharc, but vague references to s1 MOTWs. X-Files: Set in the Caseyverse, pre-MoF. Probably my dates do not actually line up well, but I'm letting it go.

Are you sure about this, Liv? )
Follow Friday:

[community profile] fringetv_at_dw is the Fringe comm over here. This is the currently-running show I'm most fannish about, and it just came back last night, and zomg.

In a similar vein, [personal profile] elfin writes excellent Fringe fic and has much squee. I should probably meet other Fringe people. Or, like, get more than one Fringe icon, and put some on LJ. BUT WILL THIS MEAN DELETING MULDER ICONS????

People are continuing to post things to [community profile] eid_ka_chand even though the fest is over! (I mean, that's part of the point, it's a year-round comm for fanworks about Muslim characters.) It is great. Also, I owe a check for that, must remember to do it.

[community profile] fannish5 for this week:

Name five characters who would hate attending a family reunion.

Ha ha, oh ha ha. So this version of the list is cheap, but:

  1. Fox Mulder
  2. Samantha Mulder
  3. Teena Mulder
  4. Bill Mulder
  5. C.G.B. Spender

Man, that would be a bad party. With a lot of good booze, though.
