Anyway, I've been trawling the battle, and here are some recs, so far. What I'm noticing is that, generally, at least in the fandoms I'm reading in, what's getting written are stories that are really interstitial to canon, by which I mean stories that draw heavily on things that are really going on in the canon storylines, and which are simply being played out during the sex. It's less about PWP in most of these cases, and more about characterization-via-fucking, which is one of my favorite things about good fannish porn, that it's something else while also being hot and dirty.
Permanence and Certainty, Crossover, Fringe/The X-Files, Olivia Dunham/Dana Scully, tattoos
Man, the pornbattle is hard, because there are some things about canon I believe so fiercely to be true that to see them broken is impossible and results in headaches and twitchiness, but then somebody is writing hot things about beautiful people who I love fucking and I don't know what to do. IN ANY CASE: ALL THE INFORMATION YOU NEED IS IN THE SUBJECT LINE, and this also gets my thumbs up, from between my fingers.

I should just make clear that I ship every single canon pairing on The West Wing. (Including, I think, both Josh/Donna and Josh/Amy, in retrospect, though I was pissed the fuck off about Amy getting in the way of Josh/Donna on my first watch.) This is a perfect piece of heartbreaking angsty sex, with a little kick in the gut at the end. Oh, Toby, I would get so emotionally overinvested in you if I ever started writing TWW fic.
Because I Am Here Now, Torchwood, Jack/Ianto, restraint, ownership, branding
I'm in the middle of a Torchwood S1 rewatch. Sniff. I love how this plays with Jack's immortality and the finiteness of any relationship he can have. It echoes against Children of Earth brilliantly, in a way that feels like having your lungs torn out, obviously.
Studying, Doctor Who, Amy Pond/Sally Sparrow, gorgeous, pleasure
WHY HAVE I NEVER THOUGHT OF THIS PAIRING. I mean, obviously because I'm an idiot. But, again, this is a fic that echoes with who Amy is, and takes her at a moment between bits of canon to show it clearly--plus with hot ladies fucking. Fandom is weird and awesome.
Star Girl, Doctor Who, Donna/Jenny, impressed
Set post-Journey's End (and probably pre-End of Time), AU for it. Jenny here is so perfectly girl!Ten, and Donna is so...just so fucking Donna, which I love. Also, sex in a spaceship-slash-car in a parking lot! I mean, come on.
