I keep joining comms like this. But I wasn't really into [community profile] fannish5 this week, so...

1. When is your usual bedtime?

Well. Midnight is a rough average. I'm trying to start going to bed earlier, since I've realized exhaustion feeds my depression, so I'm saying 11 lately. Considering I've got to wake up at 6:30 four days a week with the kid, that seems reasonable.

2. How many hours of sleep do you need?

I can function on 4-ish hours of sleep a night for a week or so before I lose it. When Isk was a baby and I was teaching an 8am class twice a week, I basically did it for a month before I had a nervous breakdown and my wife and I started alternating mornings. Which we still do. Anyway, once I'm over 6 or so I'm pretty okay, as long as I occasionally get an eight-hour night.

3. Do you usually remember your dreams?

At least a little, usually; I'll remember a scenario, or some specific moments. I've dreamed whole fics or original stories before, and then I wake up and am like DAMMIT I FORGOT THE PLOT THAT WAS AN AWESOME STORY. When I have bad dreams, I often wake up remembering what was bad (frequently that somebody died).

4. How many pillows do you sleep with?

Just one, one of those molded-chiropractic whatever pillows. It's comfy. I slept with no pillow for a while, because Isk was sleeping on my side of the bed, and I was worried that he would suffocate. Now he's big enough to just sleep between Leigh's pillow and mine. Soon he'll need his own pillow. *sniff* mah bebe, he grows up.

5. What is the wildest dream you've ever had?

Recently I dreamt the whole plot of XF3. Mulder and Scully were captured and taken to a Secret Evil Headquarters, broke out of their cell, stole a bunch of secrets, and escaped. Basically they just snuck around and snarked at each other. I think Mulder had the beard again, which, I have no idea why I would dream that, the beard was a terrible idea. They were a little out-of-character, but not terribly. My unconscious doesn't do so bad.
