Purim Gifts Reveal

Aha! I thought that [personal profile] wendelah1 was my writer for [community profile] purimgifts, and she was! She wrote me three lovely interstitial bits from Demons, pointing at the fractures that derive from the episode. Makes me want to rewatch it. They are here, here, and here. Go read them. Go. I'll be waiting here.

I, on the other hand, wrote a series of Buffy ficlets, called Three Games Willow Rosenberg Taught Someone. It is what it says on the tin; my recipient is a Willow/Oz shipper, so I ended up sticking to the earlier seasons, but the whole process really reminded me how much I love BtVS, helped by doing a bunch of rewatching to get prepped. Also, I normally think of myself as a writer of banter, but DAMN, there really is nothing like writing Jossverse banter. It is a whole other league. I'm glad these were so short; I don't think I could have sustained it for longer. :)

This entry didn't crosspost? Did you mean it to?

Yes, it was me. *g* It was fun to write for you.

I figured out my author, too. I knew it wasn't you or the other person on my flist who was participating. There were only a couple of other possibilities, and I guessed based on her personal aesthetic and her XF ship.

You don't have to bookmark them. They're listed under your gifts.

I'll make the second two a series. They were heavily edited by a friend who's a retired professional editor. I think she took 150 words out of one of the fics. To my ear, they sound a little different, but I posted them as she gave them to me. They sounded different to [personal profile] idella, too. Kyle says the changes were to make the story have a more "professional" style. The first story just needs its own identity, and a few thousand more words (the better for Edna to edit...) *g*

The last two fics were a series (which is threatening to turn into a casefile) but after I posted them I discovered a glitch in the AO3 programming that let them appear on my user page, under Recent Series, even if I was signed out. So anyone who visited my page before the reveal would know what I'd written. They asked me to repost everything as separate fics. I spent a lot of time emailing the mods. We're on a first name basis. Since no one else noticed, or if they did, they didn't say anything, the mods didn't make everyone repost.

Your banter, as always, was first rate.
