The second anniversary of going into Open Beta is coming up in a few weeks. This means it's almost time for three_weeks_for_dw, the annual festival where people post things only to DW and hold special celebretory events in DW comms.

During three_weeks_for_dw, I'll be crossposting all of my personal posts; however, I may also do DW-only things as part of the festival. (I'll post links on LJ if it's fic or things.)

However, I'm also the mod of philedom, the X-Files comm on DW, and I'm thinking of holding some kind of context/fandom appreciation challenge/something over the course of the three weeks, where we can do awesome/fun/silly things and enjoy ourselves. (You can see what we did last year here.)

If you're on DW, or even if you aren't, come on over to philedom and let me know if you're interested in playing during the festival. (If it's just gonna be me, flourish, and wendelah1, well, that's no fun.)

I just realised that the three weeks for DW thing is going to be during the month when I've decided to be offline (because I got so much done last year when I spent a month offline - and totally not just so that I can avoid being spoiled about The Mentalist season finale... ;)) so I can't participate :(

Good luck with your month off the internet, though. I'm unfortunately not in a position to be able to do that because of work, and also because all my human interactions with people not my wife, son, and roommate occur via the internet (or are at least scheduled via it), but I can imagine the massive jump in productivity...

And I can't even move my internet-free month because it's carefully planned to take place during the four weeks when I don't have any ficathon deadlines or anything.

I have to use internet at work, though, so I'll probably check my email and keep an eye on the communities I mod through there, but I think just cutting the time I spend reading random wikipedia articles will give me loads of time do do other things :D
