Please explain to me why neither "ladies doing science" nor "it's for science!" are canonical tags on the AO3. Honestly.

(Yes, this means expect fic shortly...)

I mean, I get why the tags-as-commentary thing can be an issue, but both of those strike me as things that one might want to be able to search on. Certainly there are plenty of canons where "SCIENCE!!1!!" (as opposed to actual science) is a trope that fans play with, and god knows it would be nice to see all the fic with awesome lady scientists in a single place.

And Post-Reichenbach not being canonical is totally weird, because that's an issue for *all* Holmes adaptations, and a major trope in the fic. I actually wonder if whoever wrangles for Holmes canons is totally underwater, because I've noticed that a lot of things haven't been assigned when I've clicked through on them during fic-reading-binges.
